The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council is seeking a volunteer representative from Dooly County to serve on the Region 6 Advisory Council. The selected representative will serve to give a voice to consumers and their families and other citizens in assessing needs and recommending priorities for DBHDD services. The representative will make recommendations about services and works with regional Office to develop the annual list of regional priorities and are informed of local needs, issues, and severs as advocates for public officials. Meetings are held bi-monthly at varying locations throughout Region 6. Paid Reimbursement for travel mileage incurred for travel to and from the Council Meetings.

Applicant must possess an Appraiser Certification III or have the ability to obtain certification within 2 years. Must be knowledgeable or have the ability to become knowledgeable in real and personal property appraisal process, the Appraisal Procedure Manual, computer and job related software programs. Must be skillful in planning, organizing, analyzing and implementing solutions. And must possess strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to staff, taxpayers and the public. Also valid driver’s license, ability to pass drug screening, and consent to a criminal background check is required. Salary will commensurate with education and experience.
