We had a great turn out today at our drive thru testing site. We would like to thank the Dooly County High School for allowing us to have it there again. They always take good care of us while we are there. We would also like to thank the Dooly County Sheriff’s office for providing deputies to help us. Thank you to Shay Massey, a board of health member and nurse for coming out there, suiting up, and helping us test again. Dooly EMS did a phenomenal job helping us and we are always grateful for their help. Happy EMS Week to them. Please make sure you tell them how awesome they are. It’s their week and they deserve to be celebrated. We would like to also thank Coney Irrigation, Inc. (my honey) for providing lunch for everyone. It was delicious. What all this is, is team work. Team work is dream work!!! It’s uniting together to make a difference in our communities and make sure we take care of their needs. I appreciate each and every one of you for supporting us, praying for us, and helping us through this. Nothing has gone unnoticed, I promise.
We tested a total of 74 people today. The first 50 came and went within the first 45 minutes. We used 3 different labs so the wait time will be different with each lab. We will call as soon as the results start coming in. I will keep you all updated with the true totals for Dooly as well.
Last but certainly not least, I want to thank my crew at the Dooly County Health Department. I couldn’t ask for a better group of co-workers. They jump in, work hard everyday, and do whatever needs to be done in order to help us serve this community. I am so proud of each and every one of them. The attributes they each bring to public health makes me one lucky nurse manager and Dooly County one lucky community.
