I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend! Here are the numbers for Dooly County and I’m adding a few more things so you all can see a little more into my world…..
Total Positives for Dooly County: 168
Total Deaths: 12
Total Tested Today: 6
Total Pending: 6
Total Tested by the Dooly Co Health Department: 405
Total Positives from that number is: 93
Total Negatives from that number is: 312
Total Percentage of Positive Cases: 23%
These numbers only include what we have tested here at the Dooly County Health Department, not other facilities.
The positives in this last group (those tested on May 19th) were, for the most part, asymptomatic. This is why it is SO important to adhere to all guidelines we have been pushing from the beginning. Social distancing (standing 6ft or greater apart from others), wearing a mask in public (and yes, it does work….from the person standing in front fo these people testing them), using hand sanitizer and washing your hands frequently, staying home if you are sick, quarantining and isolating if you know you have been a contact to someone who has tested positive for COVID 19, and staying home until you have received your test results….that is one I’m throwing in there because I’m chasing people all over town trying to give them their results and they are everywhere but their home….where they should be…..and are told to stay…..numerous times……
