PUBLIC HEARING
The Dooly County Planning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing at 5:30 PM on May 18, 2026, at the Economic Development Center 402 Hawkinsville Rd in Vienna. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow the Planning Commission to receive citizens’ input and comments on the following zoning requests.
Request #1 – Jose & Lisa Garcia have submitted a Re-Zoning application for parcel #65-6 currently zoned R-2 (Multi-family Residential). The request is to Rezone the property from R-2 (Multi-family Residential) to AG (Agricultural). The rezoning request is to allow farm animals and farm business operations on the property. The property is located at 812 Hwy 41 Vienna, GA 31092.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow the Planning Commission to receive citizens’ input and comments on the following zoning requests.

PUBLIC HEARING
The Dooly County Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Dooly County Commissioners Office at 113 N. Third Street in Vienna. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow the Dooly County Commission to receive citizens’ input and comments on a text amendment amending the present Ordinance of AG (Agricultural) Article IV Section 5 & 6 to contain new setbacks, Agricultural confinement buildings and quantity of animal allowed. A copy of the proposed text amendment is available by contacting Zoning Administrator, Glenn A. Layson, via email at zoning@doolycountyga.com; via telephone at (229) 268-4228; via internet doolycountyga.com under the public notices tab; or in person during business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the exception of lunch from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Dooly County Commissioners Office at 113 N. Third Street Vienna.
The recommendation for the zoning text amendment comes from the Dooly County Planning Commission and will be presented by the Zoning Administrator on their behalf. Any private individual shall be entitled to speak and/or present evidence as in favor or in opposition to the proposed change to the zoning text before the Dooly County Commission at the public hearing.
