Tax Appraiser I Vacancy
The Dooly County Tax Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Tax Appraiser I position. Duties include assisting taxpayers, maintaining property records, processing homestead exemptions, entering appraisal data, filing documents, answering phones, and supporting daily office operations.
Applicants should possess strong computer, customer service, organizational skills and willing to take training /certification classes offered by the Tax Appraiser School. procedures and ability to work with the public are required. High school diploma or equivalent required; appraisal or tax office experience preferred.
5-day work: 8:00 am -5:00 pm.
Hourly pay Rate: $16.00
Mechanic Vacancy
Dooly County Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic at the Dooly County Public Works Department. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining county vehicles and heavy equipment, performing oil changes, tire repairs, brake work, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on gas and diesel equipment. Applicants should have experience working with heavy equipment, shop tools and be able to follow instructions and work safely.
Minimum of 3 years’ mechanical experience is preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Criminal and Vehicle Record check required. 4-day work week, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00
