MOTORGRADER VACANCY
Dooly County is seeking an experienced Motor Grader Operator to join our Public Works Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating motor graders and other heavy equipment Must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating motor graders in a construction or public works setting.
- Valid Georgia Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of road construction and maintenance principles.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent mechanical skills for performing equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
SERVICE SUPPORT/MECHANIC VACANCY
The Dooly County Public Works Department is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Support/Shop Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Operator. Qualified candidates must be able to:
Must have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience as a mechanic and/or heavy equipment operator.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within [X] months of employment.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Knowledgeable in heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, loaders, and backhoes for various construction, maintenance, and repair projects
- Valid Georgia Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred.
- Can perform shop and mechanical duties such as changing large machinery tires, etc
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
