NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
The Dooly County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2025 millage rate which will require an increase in property tax by 2.62% percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase to be held at the Dooly County Commissioners Office located at 113 N. Third Street in Vienna:
– Public Hearing #1:  Thursday, September 4, at 10:00 AM
– Public Hearing #2:  Thursday, September 4, at 6:00 PM
– Public Hearing #3:  Friday, September 19, at 10:00 AM
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 17.45 mills, an increase of 0.445 mills.  Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 17.005 mills.  The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $150,000.00 is approximately $25.81 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $150,000.00 is approximately $26.70.

2025 MILLAGE RATE – PROPOSED
The County Commissioners have tentatively adopted the 2025 Millage Rate of 17.45 mills. The millage rate is scheduled to be officially adopted at the 09/19/2025 County Commissioners Meeting. For more details click here.
